Client Interaction Policies
1. Zoma Therapeutic Massage is available to clients by appointment only. All calls will be returned as promptly as possible.
2. All clients are expected to be on time for their appointments. All sessions begin and end at the scheduled times. If a session begins late, due to the client arriving late, the session will end at the scheduled time and the client will be charged full price.
3. We require at least a 24 hour notice if cancelation of an appointment is necessary. If we do not receive notice of cancelation at least 24 hours prior, you will be charged for the appointment unless it can be filled. Emergency cancelations will be determined at the discretion of ZTM and, if deemed appropriate, the fee will be waived.
4. If a therapist needs to cancel an appointment, you will be notified at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. In an emergency situation and for cancelations with less than a 24 hour notice, you will be provided a discount on your next session.
5. All clients are expected to provide a health history and to inform their therapist of any condition that might contraindicate (go against) receiving massage.
6. Clients are expected to be “present” at the time of their appointment and not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If a client arrives for an appointment while under the influence, the session will be canceled and the client will be charged full price. Do not eat a heavy meal less than 2 hours prior to your appointment, as this may cause discomfort during your session.
7. Payment for services is due at the time the service is rendered, unless other arrangements have been made. We accept cash or checks. We do not provide direct billing for insurance, but will gladly assist with filling out the appropriate forms and paperwork.
8. During a session clients are draped with a sheet at all times, leaving only the parts of the body being worked on exposed. Requests for treatment without draping will be refused.
9. All treatments are customized to fit the client’s needs, within the profession’s Scope of Practice. If a need cannot be met within these guidelines, the client will be offered an appropriate referral(s).
10. All supplies and equipment are kept clean and safe and clients are provided with a professional session each time they come for an appointment.
11. All clients are treated with respect and dignity regardless of age, race, gender or personal habits and preferences. Personal and professional boundaries are respected at all times and sexual harassment or misconduct is not tolerated.
12. Please refrain from wearing perfumes to your appointment, as some people are allergic.
